BEWARE! Actual account of a supposed crime that transpired yesterday morning at the Freedom Park, UPLB as narrated by a friend. In the interest of public awareness and vigilance:

“Alarming…

UPDATE: The Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Community Affairs has informed my friend that the ‘kidnapped’ girl was found safe in the vicinity of the University Library. Apparently, the motive was only robbery.

Mindanao was swept in a tragic disaster yesterday when typhoon Sendong (International Name: Washi) raged through the island leaving some 180 deaths and 400 others missing and thousands homeless, with most casualties accounted in Iligan City and Cagayan de Oro City due to flash floods. Public Storm Warning Signal is still up for the most part of Northern Mindanao and Southern Visayas, while the typhoon is heading to Palawan within the next 24 hours. Blogger Mindanaoan has shared some graphic photos in the aftermath of the killer typhoon via twitter, which I re-posted below:

Perhaps, the first or the only of its kind in this part of the world.
